Great conversation today giving me a great deal of comfort in knowing when I reached my intelligent edge ~ boundary~ on expectations of my business. It at least provoked me to think strategically about streamlining my product line, branding, and directing the growth of my business. While I may not be able to really invest in a brick & mortar boutique as I dreamed, I will have my "virtual" store. Creating my online boutique has been a wonderful adventure that is challenging fun. At least breaking-even this year in my virtual boutique feels soooo....goood!

Sharing Success!
Had an intriguing conversation today with one of my professional contacts. She gave me some strategic BizSense in dealing specifically with my comfort level in growing my "Virtual Boutique" business model.
As I listened to her discussion, I gained some valuable and greatly needed inspiration to guide me along the next leg of the journey. She was learning about me as much as I was trying to learn about her. More like a mentor-protegee relationship.
For the past two years, I'm finally in a place where there is ideal, work-life balance. Allowing me the needed time to develop things I've found interesting and challenging but never had the time to devote to create something. Let me tell you ~ It is so much fun having the time to develop a passion then turning it into that kitschy boutique that you've only dreamed about.

Fall is just around the corner! If you’re looking for a lovely day trip or long weekend excursion, check out the mystique of The Virginia Hunt Country. Within an hours drive from Arlington, where 66 intersects Rte.50, sits the town of Middleburg, VA. This lovely, leisurely drive brings to life the feeling you have just been transported back in time. You’ll experience hunters riding horses wearing their typical hunters’ garb, with howling hounds running out of the wooded forest chasing fox. Scattered throughout the winding roads you’ll see a good many Equestrian Farms with foe and all those mystical things associated with horses. (e.g. steeplechase, tracks, and the occasional Hunt & Hound Festival). Honestly, driving by the Estates of Grandeur of famous socialites is enjoyable by itself. The estates with their lovely manicured lawns surrounded by rock fences, makes you realize this is a rare find. It certainly is a grand lifestyle for the elite. Be sure to stop at one of the many wineries, go on a hayride and do a pumpkin carving at Hollins Farm, before heading back for afternoon spa treatment at the Salamander Spa just within a short drive through the heart of Middleburg. And, please don’t forget your bushel of apples as tart as you can find to make apple pie for the holidays. (Note freeze the pies). If a longer stay is in order, The Salamander Spa & Resort is well worth the trip alone. Schedule an afternoon spa package to do after equestrian training. And do make reservations at Harriman’s for a gourmet farm-to-table concept dining experience.

Fall is just around the corner! If you’re looking for a lovely day trip or long weekend excursion, check out the mystique of The Virginia Hunt Country. Within an hours drive from Arlington, where 66 intersects Rte.50, sits the town of Middleburg, VA. This lovely, leisurely drive brings to life the feeling you have just been transported back in time.
